1. What is the structure of the Democratic City Committee?
The Democratic City Committee is made up of the members of the eleven Democratic Ward Committees in Cambridge. Up to 20 members are elected at presidential primaries. All members of the ward, and city committees are, and must be enrolled Democrats. An Executive Committee is elected from the membership and is comprised of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Affirmative Action Officer, and the Chairs of each of the eleven wards in the city.

2. Who serves on the Ward Committees?
Ward Committees are, as noted above, elected at the Presidential Primary. At this time the City Committee By-Laws allow twenty members in each ward. Following the Presidential Primary on March 4, 2008, that number will increase to 35 members. Most of the Ward Committees have voted to increase to 35 members in the upcoming Primary, but not all. The ward committees elect their own Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and, at their discretion, a Vice-Chair, and Affirmative Action Officer.
